The RoleWe are looking for an experienced Product leader to lead the global Product Management function across all product portfolios for the company.
The individual in this role will lead the following core areas:
Customer Engagement:
Deeply understand the challenges, needs and desires of the customer to build an excellent product experience and identify proper positioning in the market.
Use customer insights to drive product decisions.
Product Vision:
Sets the vision for all products and what those products will do for target audience customers and users, by solving problems and delivering value.
Align vision to the overall goals and objectives of the organization.
Product Strategy:
Responsible for detailed roadmap for the product life cycle (formation through execution), specifying the market and market needs.
Product Lifecycle Management:
Responsible for managing new product development and the day-to-day management of the entire product portfolio to drive profitable growth for all AspenTech product portfolios.
People Leadership:
Hire, coach and retain top talent - the individual will be responsible for leading a best-in-class Product Management organization that can attract and retain top talent.
You are the Global Functional Head where you will empower, and coach very senior and accomplished product leaders is key.
Your Impact Overall responsibility for all product and solution road maps and product life cycles.
Ensure the transformation of product ideas into actionable concepts, timelines, and projects while maintaining a serious consideration of the financial implications, market needs, and the overall objectives of the business.
Collaborate with Marketing to define a mutually exclusive and collectively exhaustive set of the relevant business processes for AspenTech software to automate, streamline and optimize.
Interpret comprehensive customer and market input to develop a thoughtful and informed perspective of product and market opportunities, including competition and differentiation.
Develop and measure metric-based objectives (short and long term) and manage the day-to-day efforts of the product team to ensure a high level of responsiveness, flexibility, and efficiency.
Design, scale and optimize go-to-market strategies across new and existing markets, channels, and customers.
Research, document, and champion market pain points, use cases and gaps to assess market opportunities and create product requirements to address unmet market needs.
Understand the performance of various product analyses such as gap analysis to establish product differentiation and execution strategies that will lead to the product's ultimate success.
Create a common way (across the portfolio) to storyboard common customer practices and workflows which spanning multiple AspenTech products.
Define maturity models that represent common levels of sophistication toward best practices.
Build and nurture strong Customer executive relationships to develop a holistic and deep view of the product needs and current programs.
Create a structure to leverage inputs from Corporate Marketing, Engineering, Sales, Solution Consulting and Customer Success to measure and improve product success within the product life cycles.
Collaborate with Services and Business Consulting to ensure that on-going and future benchmark studies are consistent with the business process framework.
Collaborate with Quality to ensure that test scripts are defined to validate that our product support common process workflows (across products and previous versions).
Build, develop, motivate, and lead a team to meet and exceed growth and adoption targets and other financial metrics.
Engaging leader who builds and sustains credibility with their team, colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders.
Partner closely with R&D to drive innovation in our software delivery technology to better meet our customers' needs.
This scope would include expanded use of electronic software delivery, on-line entitlement management and improvements to our physical media.

What You'll Need 10
years of progressive product leadership, including a demonstrated record of success in bringing products from early-stage development to market launch.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science is preferred, MBA a plus.
Understanding of cloud-based technologies/platforms and modern cloud interfaces is important.
Experience in communicating a product vision and prospective road map to leadership, clients, and team members alike.
Deep functional understanding of product management systems and methodologies; experience managing and scaling a high performing product team.
Strong external communication skills to engage with customers and prospects as part of product planning and support efforts.
Able to contribute to broader business planning discussions.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
