Position Summary Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Journeyman Configuration Manager providing support to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC/HBD), Theater Battle Control DivisionThe Theater Battle Control Division manages efforts focused on developing, acquiring, fielding and sustaining programs that support worldwide communications, Battle Management, Command & Control, Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C2ISR), Tactical Air Control, Air/Ground Surveillance, Time Critical Targeting, Combat Identification, Radar Imagery, Integrated Air/Missile Defense, and Mobile/Fixed C2ISR Performance, Exploitation & Dissemination FacilitiesThis is a full-time position located at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford, MassachusettsResponsibilities Duties includ e, but not limited to:
o Provide CM of all relevant program artifactso Archive acquisition documentationo Review and analyze the weapon system development/sustainment contractor's CM program and data deliveries for accuracy, completeness, and complianceo Maintain CM files including configuration identification, change control, and status accounting recordso Implement CM planso Record Configuration Control Board (CCB) approved changeso Participate in cross-functional change control boards to evaluate proposed changeso Review and analyze proposed changes to ensure operational and sustainment capabilities are not adversely affected by the changeso Review the CCB membership list for currency and completenesso Support engineering assessmentso Prepare for, conduct, and/or support major audits such as PCA/FCAo Record and maintain assessment and audit findings, minutes, and action items.
o Report the weapon system development/sustainment contractor's data delivery statuso Support pre- and post-contract award data reviewso Review and analyze of the weapon system development/sustainment contractor's conformance to CDRL requirementso Process Government and weapon system development/sustainment contractor correspondenceo Support the establishment of work flowso Track data item deliverables and responseso Support development/sustainment of paper and automated archival systems of all covered documentationo Work closely with program management, systems engineers, quality managers, draftsmen and design/manufacturing engineers in an integrated product team environmento Develop and administer configuration management planso Maintain design traceability and integrityo Convene and manage change boardso Assist the Government with configuration control for Electronic Records Management (ERP) and IT systemsThis shall include configuration planning, data analysis, maintenance of configuration documentation and data, and maintaining inventory/configuration statuso Manage configurations of software, engineering documents, design drawings, engineering changes and notices, and plan/conduct design auditsThe Contractor must have skills and experience necessary to work closely with program management, systems engineers, quality managers, and design engineers in an integrated product team environment.
o Support the review boards via meeting attendance and capturing meeting minutes including the CCBo Track Change Requests and Discrepancy Reports /Problem Reportso Ensure integrity of the baseline including major releases, minor releases, patches, and software maintenanceo Provide QA checks on system baselineso Support licensing tasks and packaging and delivering of software to userso Maintain the CM library and software repository.
o Manage and control product baselineso Recommend and document comprehensive configuration management plans for software, hardware, firmware, and peripherals for IT systemso Analyze data and prepare plans and briefings in support of software-driven systemso Perform studies and monitor effectiveness of CM plans to identify potential and existing problems and make recommendations for resolutiono Audit and review IT system configurationso Control the configuration of IT systemso Assist the Government in developing and administering CM plans; maintaining design traceability and integrity; convening and managing change boards; and preparing for and attending major events including, but not limited to, Technical Interchange Meetings, Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, PCAs, FCAs, and CCBs Qualifications Minimum Required

Experience:
7 years of directly related experience, 5 of which must be in the DoD.
o CM experience within the DoD environmento Experience performing hardware and software configuration auditso Experience performing the technical administrative activities necessary to manage CM tools for inventory control, version control, data duplication, and media labeling.
o Experience producing release notes and CM reportso Understanding of the configuration change control process, the role of the CCB, and change control documentationo Experience performing baseline administrative activities for multiple environmentso Experience developing briefings for managemento Understanding of all phases of the software development life cycleo Ability to enter and manipulate data in a database (i.
e Lifecycle Management Process, Microsoft Access, Sharepoint) Preferred
