Systems Administrator, Journeyman with Security Clearance
This is an exciting opportunity for a Journeyman Systems Administrator providing support to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center/PEO Digital Directorate (AFLCMC/HB), filling a full time position located at Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, supporting the Kessel Run All Domain Common Platform (ADCP) ProgramEssential Job Functions:
The Air Force Program Execution Office for PEO Digital (AFPEO/HB) has the collective Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) mission responsibility to manage and execute the modernization, development, testing, production, fielding, and sustainment of the PEO Digital portfolio, which includes over 130 programs for the United States Air Force (USAF) and foreign alliesAFLCMC/PEO Digital Directorate is headquartered at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA with geographically separated operating units CONUS and OCONUSMust be near Hanscom/Boston/Langley or another base to access SIPRThe Systems Administrator shall provide support and assistance in the management and operations of program related network systemsResponsibilities may include but are not limited to:
o Provide system administration of network, web, and/or communication systems, including Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) systems, involving network security.
o Prepare technical implementation plans that provide integrated solutions including actions, milestones, timelines and critical paths required for complete solutions.
o Perform daily activities of configuration and operation of business systems which may be mainframe, mini, client/server, or cloud based.
o Optimize system operation and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning.
o Provide assistance to users in accessing and using business systemsRequired Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.
SCitizenship is requiredA High School Diploma or GED plus 7 years of directly related experience with proper certifications, 5 of which must be in the DoD or a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related field and at least 3 years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, 3 of which must be in the DoDActive Secret security clearanceHas the knowledge, experience and demonstrated ability to perform tasks related to the technical/professional discipline they are performingTypically works independently and applies the proper procedures and processes related to their area of expertiseHas the ability to problem solve and troubleshoot various situations to develop successful outcomes within established program / project guidelinesWork is performed independently or under the oversight of more senior contractor employees(Program Office and Staff Level Support interface)Desired Skills:
Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
