The Engineering and Technology Acquisition Support Services (ETASS) contract provides a broad range of engineering support to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center''s (AFLCMC''s) programs located at Hanscom AFB and their geographically separated units.
Responsibilities:
The Jacobs team needs an experienced IT Network Engineer to work within the C3I Infrastructure Division (CID) at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA. The candidate for this position will be responsible for developing and maintaining as-built and to-be IT infrastructure requirements, plans, drawings, and procedures for the current and future CID Integration and Test Facility and acquiring, validating, and deploying these requirements into the current CID Lab infrastructure. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Providing accredited information security networking engineering services to analyze design and deployment issues.
Developing technical requirements, and test plans/procedures for all lab equipment used for both simulated production and new technology demonstrations and experiments.
Applying industry best practices in information assurance, IT security, systems engineering, integration & test case development and implementation.
Working with CID Lab Manager to design and plan current and future Integration Test Facility (ITF) architecture and infrastructure to provide environment for PMO to execute programs. Implements best practice data center designs and solutions.
Qualifications:
Required Skills:
Demonstrated hands-on experience designing/building/testing data centers and/or integration labs/test facilities.
Demonstrated hands-on experience working with networking, servers, network management tools and desktop/laptop computers.
Broad and deep hands-on experience in COTS IT system testing and deployment.
Good communication skills (both written and verbal) is a must.
Must be able to work as part of a team or independently.
Engineering/Lab Project Management & IT Network/Network Management experience.
Familiarity of current virtualization technologies such as VMware.
Knowledge of system security concepts and leading edge networking devices and products such as firewalls, proxies, IPS/IDS.
Security
certification is a must.
MS Office experience, specifically Visio, is a must.
Desired Skills:
Industry certifications are a plus (MCP, MCSE, CCNP, CCNA, Security+, etc.).
EDUCATION:
BS degree and 8 years of experience; MS degree and 7 years of experience; or PhD and 2 years of experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen and possess the ability to acquire a U.S. Security Clearance.
This position may require travel of up to one week per month.
Physical Requirements:
Work may involve sitting for extended periods. May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. Must have sufficient mobility to enter areas of manufacturing and military sites or facilities where necessary.
Work Environment:
Generally an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
Equipment and Machines:
Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, fax, etc.), and/or other industry-specific equipment.
Attendance:
Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
