Duties:
Assist in the definition of storage best practices and design of storage and backup/recovery infrastructure to deliver high availability, security, manageability and reliability. Responsible for the build and maintenance of enterprise storage and backup/recovery infrastructure including partnering with cross functional IT teams. Work closely with IT architects. Define and assist in the design of tools used by the storage team to monitor and troubleshoot the storage/ backup recovery systems infrastructure. Ensure that all services are consistently available to business customers. Implement tools and procedures for better storage and backup recovery systems management. Validate and enhance documentation of procedures and processes. Lead initiatives to enhance products, services, testing, documentation, and product roadmap discussions. Contribute to the functional development of products and services. Responsible for performance analysis and optimization for the storage and backup recovery systems infrastructure. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
Requirements:
Employer will accept Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics or related technical field, followed by seven years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or seven years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in a computer-related occupation.
Experience must include: 1) Storage, backup and SAN Fabrics/switching systems; 2) Hardware, software and/or operating systems environments for large scale data storage devices; 3) Symmetrix, Clariion and Celerra Systems; 4) Storage area networks and McData, Cisco, Brocade SAN Fabrics; 5) Switch integration and support; 6) Backup and restore methodologies; 7) UNIX system administration
Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
