Position is located within the Engineering Service at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Bedford, MA.
The employee's prime responsibility is the maintenance and operation of over 200 tons of air conditioning and over 50 tons of refrigeration equipment.
Duties include but are not limited to:
o Maintains, repairs, operates and installs air conditioning, refrigeration and air handling equipment; o Troubleshoots problems and makes all necessary repairs; o Fabricates and makes minor parts to make temporary repairs on components for air conditioning, air handling and refrigeration equipment; o Performs regularly scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment; o Reads, interprets and carries out trade instructions to include schematics, mechanical blueprints, work orders, operational manuals and specifications; o Uses established safe work practices/procedures to perform work; o Completes all assigned work orders independently; o Performs other related duties as assigned.
Monday through Friday, with tour of duty to be determined.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
