Duties and responsibilities include:
Preforms triages calls, received from families and representatives; Initiates resolution of problems arising between Veterans and physicians due to delayed, partial or non-payment of claims; Retrieves voicemails left after hours and returns calls or forwards to the appropriate staff and answering the customer service line in a timely manner; Receives calls, greets visitors, and directs to staff members only those contacts needing attention or action; Responds to technical requests for information; Receives and reviews all mail incoming and outgoing for the service. Sorts claims received and packages them for distribution to their appropriate programs for processing; Ensures section managers are made aware of any items which may require immediate attention; Responsibilities for reviewing all claims for completeness and quality and for timely notification to the claimant after receipt of the claim if incomplete; Performs other duties as assigned. Applicants must in the one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least next lower grade level of a GS 4 in the federal service that equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to this Program Assistant position to be filled. You must have successfully completed 4 years of education above high school. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school. (TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED - If you do not submit a copy of your transcript, your application may not be processed.) -OR- COMBINATION:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
