coordinates all clerical/administrative tasks/projects/reports ensuring suspense items are submitted timely; reviews incoming and outgoing correspondence; establishes policies and procedures; provides guidance and assists facility support staff on procedural matters and keeps them advised of pertinent changes; assists in planning and coordinating of activities; prepares correspondence and reports; prepares various meeting agendas, attends and records meeting minutes; maintains share point site and other leadership electronic mail groups; arranges visits for VA Central Office officials, VISN and other VA staff; and, reviews files for completeness prior to site visits by Accrediting Agencies and Veterans Service Organizations and provides follow-up with concerned officials on indicated actions. The major duties listed above represent the full performance level of GS-08. At the GS-07 grade level, the incumbent will perform assignments of a more limited scope and with close supervision to gain familiarity with the basic functions, responsibilities, and the structure of administrative operations. Promotion is at the discretion of the supervisor and is contingent upon satisfactory performance. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS 07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS 06. For a GS 08 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS 06.The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS 06) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. To qualify at the GS-08 level:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
