Duties include, but may not be limited to the following:
Maintains logs of all ordered supplies, equipment, and services; Prepares, proofreads, and finalizes complete and accurate correspondence, internal and external memoranda, research manuscripts, and presentations; Uses computerized office equipment and software with high proficiency using Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Desktop Publishing, and/or other related software in the Windows environment; Arranges travel for staff preparing travel estimates, coordinating travel approval process, and processing travel requests and reimbursements; Manages conference room scheduling process including coordination and operation of audiovisual equipment; Transcribes audio-recorded qualitative research data for projects; Provides administrative support for submission of research proposals including supporting documents from investigators, consultants, and sites, formatting documents for consistent and compliance with sponsor requirements, and entering application data electronically; Performs other related duties as assigned. This is a TERM appointment (not-to-exceed 4 years). Term appointments are non-status, nonpermanent appointments of limited duration (more than 1 year but not more than 4). Term employees are eligible to earn leave and generally have the same benefits as permanent employees including health and life insurance, within-grade increases and Federal Employees Retirement System and Thrift Savings Plan coverage. Term appointments may be extended without further competition (up to the 4 year maximum). The appointment to a Term position does not confer eligibility for promotion or reassignment to other positions or the ability to be non-competitively converted to permanent employment. One (1) year of specialized experience that has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of this position. To be creditable, this experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-5) in the Federal Service. Specialized experience includes:
preparing, proofing, and finalizing various correspondence; maintaining logs of all ordered supplies, equipment, and services; using computerized office equipment and software such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Desktop Publishing, and/or other related software in the Windows environment; preparing travel estimates, coordinating travel approval process, processing travel requests and reimbursements; managing appointment scheduling for conferences, meetings, etc.; transcribing audio-recordings and ensuring proper formatting is used. One full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. NOTE:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
