Mental Health Service Line Manager (Physician)

responsible for setting priorities for staff, services, education, research, business management, supplies, equipment, construction, and funding; works closely with Medical Center Director, Chief of Staff, Fiscal Service and Resource Board to operate in a fiscally responsible manner; achieves VA objectives in quality of services and programs across the service line, as evaluated by internal indicators, regulatory and accreditation reviews, and patient satisfaction data; serves as a liaison for the Service Line to internal and external stakeholders; recommends, defines, and manages procurement of contractual non-VA providers for services; participates in identifying and recommending candidates for selection, reassignment or promotions into management positions within the programs managed by MHSL; has supervisory responsibility for the MHSL and is ultimately responsible for all activities of staff of the Mental Health Service Line including all professional, management, administrative aspects of the MHSL; and plans and oversees completion of personal research programs, designed to provide information regarding program planning and relevant treatment approaches. United States Citizenship:
Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Completion of residency training, or its equivalent, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification. Experience:
Previous Mental Health experience is strongly preferred. Reference:

The work is mostly sedentary; however, some walking and standing is required. Work is performed in an office setting and various areas throughout the hospital.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
